Update March 4, 2011

Time goes so fast. Avery is 2 months old and Cooper is almost 22 months. WOW!
Kent's parents were here for a visit and to help with Avery from December to mid January. Then my parents came out right after and my Mom is here still. She leaves on the 14th and I worry about doing this all on my own. I need to just keep telling myself I can and I know I can, I just don't want to be wanting to pull my hair out every 10 minutes.
Avery has changed so much and is not so fussy. She a much happier baby and is starting to fall asleep all by herself with the help of a soother, and even sometimes doesn't even need that. It is a miracle, just ask my in laws they will attest to it! She has a test next week to see if she has urine back flowing into her kidneys from her bladder. This is a follow up test from her urinary track infection that put her in the hospital with a really high fever for four days. She is doing much better.
Cooper is at a super fun age and we have lots of fun together. He is talking so much and loves repeating every thing we say. He loves his little sister but doesn't quite understand the limits with her being so little. He has lots of kisses for her and loves helping out by bringing things to us for her or throwing out diapers. His favorite thing to do right now is watching "Signing Times" which is a DVD to teach parents and children sign language. He has picked up so many signs and uses them all the time. He has his own variation so sometimes I am not sure what sign he is using. It is so cute to watch him learn and grow. He has a tender heart but sometimes can be a little mean by poking or throwing things. We are trying to teach him that we only throw balls but Avery has been at the tail end of him throwing other things. Poor girl! He doesn't quite understand consequences to his actions. It will come I am sure. I feel bad for him as it seems we hardly have any time to play just the 2 of us. Either I am dealing with Avery or feeding her. Soon he won't have a Grandma to play with.

Avery's Blessing

We had Avery's baby blessing today. She was an angel. I was so worried she was going to be fussy or wanting to feed when it was time for the blessing but she was so peaceful and even awake for it. It was a beautiful blessing too. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful children. I loved the dress we had her blessed in as well. She looked beautiful.

Just so I don't forget the people who stood in the circle with Kent were Dad Pratt (Barry), Bill Green, Paul Street, Jay Wood, and Jordan Jensen. We had a get together later in the evening and had all those who participated in the blessing and their families come over for dinner. It was a memorable day.

Blessed

Jan 9, 2011
Avery  is here 7 lbs. 10 oz.. I think you all pretty much know this already. She was almost the New Years baby in NL but an emergent C-section squeeked in just before me.
To be honest this has turned out to be one of the hardest weeks I can recall of my life. I am an emotional wreck, totally sleep deprived and had an infection on top of it. So glad the inlaws are here. Now I just need to stop feeling bad about delegating and allow them to help. This I am finding very hard.
I don't remeber it being so hard with Cooper.
Avery,s nights and days are flipped which is making things hard. Any suggestions?
I don't mean to be all doom and gloom, just honest. I do feel extremely blessed and was so thrilled this morning to be getting not just one but two children ready for church, I loved dressing up my baby girl in pink and brown, with a large flower on her hat Grandma had lovingly crocheted. I should of taken a picture but we had Avery's dress and Cooper's white shirt hanging together on my scrapbook hutch ready for Sunday morn. It provoked some reflectiion and a realization that I am now a Mother of 2 beautiful, healthy children. It made me smile and I felt like I was glowing. I am so blessed even if it has been a hard week.

Already for church.

Christmas 2010

How was your Christmas?
Mine was wonderful. I was up all night Christmas eve with contractions but they subsided by morning and I was able to see the wonder of Christmas through my 19 month old son's eyes. So magical. I loved it.

Cooper opened his stocking and was completely content with stopping there. He just wanted to play with his new toys, forget opening any presents. It took him 2 days to finally get through the major hall he recieved from aunts, uncles, grandparents and parents. And I thought it was going to be a simple Christmas (at least as far as presents went).

Still in our PJ's doing the before breakfast thing.

Kent's gift from me (an Oregan Ducks hoodie). He loves the Oregan Ducks. Go Ducks! They are ranked 2nd in the nation and play in the BCS championship on January 10th against Auburn. He is very excited.

Grandpa and Grandma Pratt. I am very glad to have them here and am grateful for their help. Cooper adores them and loves the extra attention.

Cooper has a thing for boxes and baskets. Here he is playing in the basket I was putting all of his opened gifts in. As you can see most of the content is now on the floor!

Dremel Trio. SWEET! It cuts, routers and sands. I am one lucky girl.

My scrapbook hutch that is patiently waiting for me to move into!

Cooper and Daddy having a moment looking through the book I made for Kent.

My Duck boys! Thanks Jody and Skeej for the hat. He loves it.

Cooper loves his new car bedding.
My wonderful family. I am so lucky.
So I am one day past my due date and still no baby. Ladybug is camping out. I am hoping that she will come at 12:01 am on January 1st and be the first born Canadian baby of the new year. Wouldn't that be cool? In the mean time I will just try and relax, think happy thoughts and enjoy the time I have with my family. Kent is off work and it is so nice having him home. He finished the moulding in the kitchen yesterday so it is officially done, except for the backsplash and me needing to paint the moulding. It is so nice having the moulding done.
Happy New Year.

Prego picture.

This maybe the very last prego picture as I am hoping any day now that Ladybug will get sick of being couped up and want to come out.

I adore this color. I bought some scraps of fabric from Value Village and was excited to see this color in the bag. These rolled flowers are huge right now in blog land and I love the look. I am making a few for Ladybug in different colors, and I am having a blast doing it.
I have been able to squeeze in a few crafts during my sons nap. I of course go and have a nap once he actually has fallen asleep but once my nap is over I jump out of bed (not really jump, more like flail out of bed like a beached whale as I am 8.5 months pregnant) and busily work on fun crafts. My hubbies parents arrive in 2 days and I am so excited. I am looking forward to seeing them and also for the help with my busy and very active 19 month old.

Well family pictures are going to have to wait until tomorrow or Tuesday as I am going to bed. It took too long to upload pics. I am hoping to include it with an update from what has happened to the family in 2010.

Luvs and Merry Christmas.

New things.

I don't know where to start. I have been working on some really fun things and have finished a few and want to show you. As well we just got family pictures done and I want to put them up for you all to see. I am super tired and want to go to bed so hopefully I can be fast and do it all in a short time.

I am a follower of this blog called flamingo toes. LOVE it. I can't get enough of this blog. She posted a while back this wreath http://www.flamingotoes.com/2010/09/beware-halloween-wreath/ and I have been wanting to make one.

So here is mine.

This wreath reminds me of the Savior. The berries represent the blood he sacrificed for me and you. White for his pure life and perfect example. The dove representing his love. The circle/wreath for his infinite and eternal atonement. It is super simple and I like that. I am debating on adding more berries to each cluster, but I am happy with how it turned out.

So here it is hanging above my mantel in all it's glory. (I am hoping Santa will do a fireplace make over for me for Christmas) I hesitated to put this picture in as I don't have the perfect picturesque mantel like other ladies I have seen in blog land. You do what you can I guess and work with what you've got.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas 2010

Hey ladies,
sorry I haven't been here in a while. I am really behind and life is crazy. I am due in less than 3 weeks, can you believe it? I am just barely starting to feel ready for "Ladybug". Thanks to Amy's helpful ideas on her blog of what she put in her hospital bags for Mom and Baby I now have the hospital bags all packed.
My in laws arrive in 6 sleeps and I can't wait. It is going to be a great Christmas. I am working on a few things that I will share with you when they are done. I am just starting to be able to put into action all the wonderful DIY things I have found since I found blog land. I am starting with making large flowers for a head band for Ladybug. I am not sure how other gals on their blogs put pictures and other blog posts in but this will be my first attempt. I thought they were adorable.

I want to order one of everything for both me and Ladybug. I emailed them and they do ship to Canada and they charge the same rate as if they were sending to an American address. Sweet!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season. MERRY CHRISTMAS until next time.
