Christmas 2010

How was your Christmas?
Mine was wonderful. I was up all night Christmas eve with contractions but they subsided by morning and I was able to see the wonder of Christmas through my 19 month old son's eyes. So magical. I loved it.

Cooper opened his stocking and was completely content with stopping there. He just wanted to play with his new toys, forget opening any presents. It took him 2 days to finally get through the major hall he recieved from aunts, uncles, grandparents and parents. And I thought it was going to be a simple Christmas (at least as far as presents went).

Still in our PJ's doing the before breakfast thing.

Kent's gift from me (an Oregan Ducks hoodie). He loves the Oregan Ducks. Go Ducks! They are ranked 2nd in the nation and play in the BCS championship on January 10th against Auburn. He is very excited.

Grandpa and Grandma Pratt. I am very glad to have them here and am grateful for their help. Cooper adores them and loves the extra attention.

Cooper has a thing for boxes and baskets. Here he is playing in the basket I was putting all of his opened gifts in. As you can see most of the content is now on the floor!

Dremel Trio. SWEET! It cuts, routers and sands. I am one lucky girl.

My scrapbook hutch that is patiently waiting for me to move into!

Cooper and Daddy having a moment looking through the book I made for Kent.

My Duck boys! Thanks Jody and Skeej for the hat. He loves it.

Cooper loves his new car bedding.
My wonderful family. I am so lucky.
So I am one day past my due date and still no baby. Ladybug is camping out. I am hoping that she will come at 12:01 am on January 1st and be the first born Canadian baby of the new year. Wouldn't that be cool? In the mean time I will just try and relax, think happy thoughts and enjoy the time I have with my family. Kent is off work and it is so nice having him home. He finished the moulding in the kitchen yesterday so it is officially done, except for the backsplash and me needing to paint the moulding. It is so nice having the moulding done.
Happy New Year.

Prego picture.

This maybe the very last prego picture as I am hoping any day now that Ladybug will get sick of being couped up and want to come out.

I adore this color. I bought some scraps of fabric from Value Village and was excited to see this color in the bag. These rolled flowers are huge right now in blog land and I love the look. I am making a few for Ladybug in different colors, and I am having a blast doing it.
I have been able to squeeze in a few crafts during my sons nap. I of course go and have a nap once he actually has fallen asleep but once my nap is over I jump out of bed (not really jump, more like flail out of bed like a beached whale as I am 8.5 months pregnant) and busily work on fun crafts. My hubbies parents arrive in 2 days and I am so excited. I am looking forward to seeing them and also for the help with my busy and very active 19 month old.

Well family pictures are going to have to wait until tomorrow or Tuesday as I am going to bed. It took too long to upload pics. I am hoping to include it with an update from what has happened to the family in 2010.

Luvs and Merry Christmas.

New things.

I don't know where to start. I have been working on some really fun things and have finished a few and want to show you. As well we just got family pictures done and I want to put them up for you all to see. I am super tired and want to go to bed so hopefully I can be fast and do it all in a short time.

I am a follower of this blog called flamingo toes. LOVE it. I can't get enough of this blog. She posted a while back this wreath http://www.flamingotoes.com/2010/09/beware-halloween-wreath/ and I have been wanting to make one.

So here is mine.

This wreath reminds me of the Savior. The berries represent the blood he sacrificed for me and you. White for his pure life and perfect example. The dove representing his love. The circle/wreath for his infinite and eternal atonement. It is super simple and I like that. I am debating on adding more berries to each cluster, but I am happy with how it turned out.

So here it is hanging above my mantel in all it's glory. (I am hoping Santa will do a fireplace make over for me for Christmas) I hesitated to put this picture in as I don't have the perfect picturesque mantel like other ladies I have seen in blog land. You do what you can I guess and work with what you've got.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas 2010

Hey ladies,
sorry I haven't been here in a while. I am really behind and life is crazy. I am due in less than 3 weeks, can you believe it? I am just barely starting to feel ready for "Ladybug". Thanks to Amy's helpful ideas on her blog of what she put in her hospital bags for Mom and Baby I now have the hospital bags all packed.
My in laws arrive in 6 sleeps and I can't wait. It is going to be a great Christmas. I am working on a few things that I will share with you when they are done. I am just starting to be able to put into action all the wonderful DIY things I have found since I found blog land. I am starting with making large flowers for a head band for Ladybug. I am not sure how other gals on their blogs put pictures and other blog posts in but this will be my first attempt. I thought they were adorable.

I want to order one of everything for both me and Ladybug. I emailed them and they do ship to Canada and they charge the same rate as if they were sending to an American address. Sweet!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season. MERRY CHRISTMAS until next time.
